I got to know Ken O'Keefe, as he has retitled himself, quite well in our short time at Beer Sheva Jail. He's the ultimate bullshit detector and perfectly capable of translating his ethos into action. The violence and attempted humiliations did not end when we left our boats, nor even when we got past the interrogations and jail time. Just negotiating Ben Gurion Airport involved us in long stretches of totally unnecessary waiting, searches, threats and for a few, thefts of our passports backed up by gun-waving.
